Kremen d.o.o. extracts the quartz sands in the Ravno Plant. We extract sands by surface excavation in the Ravno sand pit from which we transport the raw material in the separation where the refining process of quartz sands takes place. We obtain different quality of sands by washing, attrition, separating and flotation. All devices used in the processing are based on vegetable oils and are environmentally friendly.
Quartz sands are used in the production of white and coloured glass, in the frit manufacture, in the production of water glass and zeolites, in the ceramics and construction industry, in the chemical industry, in the industry of insulation materials, in foundry, in metallurgy and in agriculture.
Is a fine-grained quartz sand containing different admixtures that give it the reddish-brown colour. The pit sand is used in agriculture for the plantation of vines, trees and bushes (the plants take roots easily) and for the silage.
Is a fine-grained quartz sand used in foundry, production of mastic asphalt, in insulation materials, in the production of aerated concrete bricks, for riding maneges, for hippodromes, for green plots (it looses the soil and gives it aeration), for the basis under the artificial grass etc.
Is a classic fine-grained glass quartz sand used for the production of white packaging glass, ceramic frits, sanitary ceramics, porcelain, porcelain, water glass and zeolites – ion exchangers, for fillings of construction masses and for the production of silicon carbide.
It differs from the other washed sands in the granulation as it contains from fine dust to 100 mm particles. It is used in the production of aerated concrete bricks, for construction purposes (basis in laying of pipes), for riding maneges, for hippodromes, for the improvement of green and agricultural plots (it looses the soil and gives it aeration) and for the rehabilitation of land.
